Celebrations Galore

This weekend has been pretty exciting!

My Aunt Lizzy turns another year older Sunday! She and Daddy are the same age now. She is and hardly has any gray hair! She works out alot and best of all, laughs as much as possible. The good thing about that is laughter is contagious so most people find themselves naturally happy in her company! I hope she has a fabulour birthday!

Also, Courtney turned 13 Saturday! I hope she had a wonderful birthday! I didn't get to talk to her on the phone! She's so nice to me. We spent Easter weekend together and on Easter day, she helped Mommy doll me up! It would be great to see more of her, but she lives in Ohio!

Alexis called Mommy Saturday to tell her that she is having a baby girl! Mommy and Daddy are so excited because that means that she and I may be playmates someday. The baby is healthy and progressing along perfectly. Her baby is due in September! I can hardly wait! She also told Mommy she's coming to my birthday party next weekend! I'll be thrilled to see her pregnant!

Daddy ran the Raleigh Rocks Half Marathon Saturday with Aunt Tember and the Durham running club. We got up real early and Mommy ran the first part of the race with Daddy, but her fifth toe is still broken, so she didn't do much more than that. I wasn't in the mood to be stuck in a jogger for the duration of the event, so I'm glad she opted out early. We got to watch the finishers come in and Mommy took plenty of pictures.

Daddy finished with a Cupajoe in his hands. He told us after the race that he had stopped at the coffee shop and purchased an iced coffee. He was so happy I was there to cheer him on!

Daddy runs with Aunt Tember towards the finish line! It's so nice that they are able to run a half marathon together! In October, I'm travelling to Chicago with Mommy, Daddy, Cousin Matilda, Aunt Tember, and Uncle Eric so that they can run the marathon. I'm looking forward to that!

Great job, Aunt Tember! I know Matilda must be proud!

As you can see, Matilda was there with Uncle Eric J. Matilda looks like she is sitting in the lap of luxury! She has a good vantage and also seems to enjoy looking at people eye to eye.

Jesse came over to share her magic touch with me! She tried to share her bananas and fig newtons with me after she finished, but I wasn't so hungry. I've been teething all week and I have a slight bug that's been keeping my temperature a little higher than usual (99-100), so my appetite hasn't been as strong as usual. But it sure was nice of Jesse to spend some time with me. I really like her. She often comes up to me and gives me high fives or dangles keys in front of me so I can play with them. She's a grade school teacher and maybe someday I'll be one of her pupils!

Here's a picture of the group at the finish line! From left to right you can see Mandy, Jesse, Daddy, Aunt Tember, Itta, Leslie, and Stacey. They all finished the run today and will hopefully do more in the future!

The running club went to Napper Tandy's after the event and Matilda downed three bottles of food in less than twenty minutes. She kept looking at me when I was asleep I've gathered and Mommy snapped this photo of her as she finished her final bottle. She still looks hungry!

Well, Daddy's fast asleep now after having run a half-marathon Saturday morning and I'm off to bed. Later on today, we are going to throw a shower for Rylan, Aunt Tara's baby boy. He is due sometime in May.
