I wasn't feeling like my usual perky self last night as I had a low-grade fever, but nonetheless, my family came over and brought some Ole NC Barbeque with them. I got to try REAL cheesy macaroni for the first time and had lots of joyful moments in the laps of Nana and Papa!
I was so happy to see Cousins Matilda and Charlotte and many of my Aunts and Uncles! I immediately crawled over and tried to pat Matilda in the swing. We got to share Nana's lap for a few minutes. I enjoy having a younger cousin. I am the youngest in my class at Butterfly Kisses Academy and like the idea of being around kids that aren't towering over me or yanking toys out of my hands. I offered my plastic toy cow to Matilda several times last night, but she didn't seem too interested in it. I even tried to grab her big toe and squeeze it, like I do with Mommy and Daddy, but she didn't laugh and squeal and squirm like they always do. If that wasn't enough, I even mumbled "Tilda" during the early part of the evening as Mommy, Nana, and I observed how she becomes more beautiful every day. Yep, no doubt about it, we'll be great pals!
I also got to spend time with Papa! He likes to sing Irish songs to all his grandchildren, but above all, he also likes to make us giggle and smile. Even though I wasn't feeling great, Papa made managed to get one of the one out of me!
Uncle Eric J. feeds Matilda using a most unique chin-hold on the bottle.
Matilda doesn't mind how the bottle is held, as long as the food keeps flowing!
Eric M. was also busy with Charlotte playing Mousetrap!
Unfortunately, Aunts Tara, Tember, and Liz weren't in the photoshoot, but they'll be in the next blog, no doubt.
Tonight, I went to hang out with Mimmo for a while. He had lots of interesting toys and we had fun playing with them. At the end of the play date, I gave him a big hug. I was just overcome by this urge to hug him! He has some of the biggest brown soulful eyes I've ever seen! Daddy says he looks like a Renaissance cherub and even speaks Italian. He also knows sign language as his Mommy Cristina says Italians use their hands alot when they speak!
